Viktor Antonov’s journey in the gaming world began with his contributions to Redneck Rampage, marking the start of a prolific career. He not only served as the art director for landmark titles such as Half-Life 2 and Dishonored but also lent his expertise as a consultant for significant projects like Doom (2016) and Fallout 4. His artistic vision and talent were celebrated just last November when he featured in a documentary commemorating the 20th anniversary of Half-Life 2, reinforcing his lasting legacy in the video game industry.
In a heartfelt tribute, Raphael Colantonio, the founder of Arkane Studios and Wolfeye Studios, expressed his condolences on Bluesky, stating, “RIP Viktor Antonov.
