Vanessa and Nick Lachey know a thing or two about love! The dynamic duo introduced hopeless romantics and happily ever after skeptics alike to not one, but TWO hit Netflix shows that explore relationships in an unconventional way. After all, nothing gets as strange as modern-day dating.
The famous couple first met on the set of MTV’s Total Request Live in 2006. Fast-forward to present day, and they now have three children together. As if starring in NCIS: Hawai’i and keeping up with a world-famous boy band wasn’t enough, Vanessa and Nick embarked on a new journey together as hosts of Love is Blind and The Ultimatum. With both Netflix shows being an instant success, the duo took to Instagram to update fans with some major news.
With the caption “🚨Some NEWS about @loveisblindnetflix & @ultimatumnetflix🚨,” Vanessa and Nick had several big announcements, and it’s honestly a doozy. Let’s take it step by step, shall we?
(1) The third season of Love is Blind premieres October 19. With some pretty turbulent and unsuccessful relationships coming out of season 2, we’re crossing our fingers that this newest season brings some soulmates together.
(2) The two somehow found room in their already busy schedules to create yet another Netflix hit/social experiment called The Ultimatum where couples ask if they really want to get married once presented with ultimatums (yikes). With the first season already under their belt, Vanessa announced that they’ve officially begun production for the second installment!
(3) “Another season of The Ultimatum coming very soon, but we also get to share some news that we’ve been holding dear and close to us”, Vanessa continued. In a move that no one saw coming, Sweet Magnolias star JoAnna Garcia Swisher was named host of the upcoming season that features an all-queer, predominantly female cast.
Whew, that was quite the update. With so much exciting news jam packed into a short Instagram reel, fans bombarded Vanessa’s video with comments like:
