TikTok has officially unveiled an exciting new collaboration with the renowned electronic music festival Tomorrowland, which promises to deliver a diverse array of exclusive content during the festival’s duration.
Tomorrowland is famous for hosting a series of vibrant music festivals across Europe, with its flagship event for 2025 set to take place in Belgium next month. This festival is widely regarded as one of the most anticipated events in the electronic music calendar.
During the festival, TikTok will provide fans with an immersive experience by featuring live streams of electrifying performances, granting behind-the-scenes access, and showcasing unique collaborations between artists and creators. This initiative aims to bring the festival atmosphere directly to users, enhancing their engagement with both the artists and the event.
According to TikTok:
“Tomorrowland 2025 will present a carefully curated lineup of globally acclaimed DJs, extraordinary stage designs, and captivating storytelling experiences. Through TikTok, users worldwide will have the opportunity to delve into the festival’s magic with LIVE streams featuring headline acts, creator-led content, and a dedicated #Tomorrowland in-app hub that serves as a comprehensive experience for fans everywhere to immerse themselves in the festival. Additionally, CapCut and Tomorrowland will introduce an official template, enabling users to share the festival’s excitement even further online.”
Moreover, TikTok is launching a songwriting competition aimed at aspiring electronic artists in conjunction with the event, as part of its SoundOn music support initiative:
“Artists from SoundOn and Tomorrowland Music will join forces to collaboratively write and release original tracks that will serve as the soundtrack for activities both on and off the TikTok platform during both weekends. These songs will be performed live on stage at Tomorrowland and distributed by SoundOn.”
Like various music genres, electronic artists have significantly gained traction on TikTok, positioning the platform as a crucial channel for distributing and promoting their latest releases. It has become an essential space for artists to connect with their audience and build their fanbase.
Indeed, numerous record labels now view TikTok as a vital promotional and connection tool. Research released by TikTok earlier this year indicates that approximately 84% of songs that entered the Billboard Global 200 in 2024 gained initial virality on TikTok, showcasing the platform’s influence on music trends.
Tomorrowland, in particular, enjoys immense popularity on the app. Posts tagged with the #Tomorrowland hashtag have garnered over 10 billion views, while TikTok’s livestream of the Tomorrowland 2023 festival attracted more than 16 million viewers, highlighting the festival’s substantial impact in the digital space.
This partnership presents a valuable opportunity for both TikTok and Tomorrowland to enhance their visibility among music enthusiasts, creating a dynamic and engaging experience that resonates with fans worldwide.
