‘They’re not a good team’: What they said after the Browns’ loss in Baltimore on social media

CLEVELAND, Ohio — The Browns’ losing streak is now up to four games as they lost in heartbreaking fashion once again in Baltimore, 23-20, on Sunday.

Cade York’s potential game-tying 60-yard field goal was deflected by Malik Harrison with just more than two minutes to go. Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt each had touchdown runs, and Jacoby Brissett was 22 of 27 passing for 258 yards.

The Browns did a good job slowing down Lamar Jackson, holding him to just nine of 16 passing for 120 yards and 10 runs for 59 yards. But two Gus Edwards touchdowns, a lost fumble by Brissett and three Justin Tucker field goals were too much to overcome for the Browns.

The Browns’ season feels like it’s slipping away after a 2-1 start, and the frustration could be felt across Twitter after the game.

Here is how social media reacted after Sunday’s loss in Baltimore.

“I definitely don’t feel like Lamar beat us. This one feels like we beat ourselves #Browns,” Jonathan Peterlin of 92.3 The Fan tweeted.

#Browns have now lost 4 games this year by a total of 9 points. They’re not a good team. #NFL officials have lost some credibility,” ESPN’s Dwayne Bray tweeted.

“‘Browns inventing new ways to lose games since 1999′ A tradition unlike any other,” John Sabol of Fox 8 tweeted.

“Season ending loss for #Browns ? Certainly feels that way.. On to #LetEmKnow time for the rest of fall & winter..” Jensen Lewis of Bally Sports Great Lakes tweeted.

“The Browns have lost 4 in a row. Jacoby Brissett has 2 TD and 6 TOV in that span,” StatMuse tweeted.

“Browns are 2-5. Four games left until they get Deshaun Watson back. And tough sledding ahead …

Will be tough to avoid being out of it all together by the time he gets back,” Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer tweeted.

“Being a Browns fan is the most painful thing I do in life, and there’s no comparison for it. They find ways to lose every week. They have zero leadership. They sold their soul for a QB who wouldn’t have a job in any other field. I’m loyal. But man, it’s painful. Really painful,” Fox college basketball announcer John Fanta tweeted.

“Kevin Stefanski joins the not so exclusive club of #Browns coaches losing 4 straight games. 21 such streaks since 1999,” Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan tweeted.

“You can argue the flags in the Browns game, or you can ask why they’re throwing deep on 3rd-and-2 when they could be running out the clock,” Andrew Siciliano of NFL Network tweeted.

“the Browns are bad enough to lose on their own, we don’t need help from the refs too,” Jordan Zirm of The Sporting News tweeted.

“English doesn’t have a word to describe what the Browns do to their fans every week,” ESPN Cleveland’s Aaron Goldhammer tweeted.

“Lol browns,” NFL Network’s Rachel Bonnetta tweeted.

“Can’t wait for the @NFL to apologize to the Browns once again. It’s unbelievable,” GV Artwork’s account tweeted.

“Cleveland #Browns just got robbed !!! Poor ref decision,” Browns fan and vlogger Paul Brown from London tweeted.

“The Browns are the best in the NFL at botching winnable situations. Week after week, they find new ways to do it,” NFL.com’s Nick Shook tweeted.

“Ravens beat the Browns despite Lamar Jackson having the worst CPOE in the early window (-10%) and Jacoby Brissett having the best (+14%),” ESPN analytics writer Seth Walder tweeted.

“I have to stop being so emotionally involved with @Browns I never will. But these 1, 2, 3 point losses are agonizing,” Chris Jansing of MSNBC tweeted.

“I don’t even root for the Browns to win anymore. I root for them to not lose because the discourse is so clueless and awful after losses,” Browns fan Scoops tweeted.

“They lost another winnable game. I feel so bad for guys like Nick Chubb. He doesn’t deserve this. #Browns,” ESPN Cleveland’s Chris Oldach tweeted.
