Brian Hickerson Reflects on Hayden Panettiere Remembering Her as My Sunday Girl
Published
Brian Hickerson, the on-and-off partner of Hayden Panettiere, described her as the quintessential “Sunday girl” during our last conversation. Tragically, just three months later, she was discovered deceased on a Sunday in an apartment associated with him.
In May, Brian had an insightful interview with TMZ’s Charlie Neff while Hayden was promoting her new memoir. Reflecting on that discussion following Hayden’s untimely passing adds a poignant layer to their shared history.
Brian and Hayden began their relationship in 2018, and he consistently praised her character, referring to her as “the sweetest thing in the world.” His admiration for her was evident.
Brian articulated his feelings with this statement: “It’s not about who you spend Saturday night with; it’s about who you spend all Sunday with. Hayden Panettiere is that Sunday girl for me.”
As previously reported, Hayden was found deceased on a Sunday in a South Carolina apartment complex after traveling there with Brian. The exact cause of her death remains undetermined, although the dispatch audio from the 911 call suggests a potential overdose.
When we asked Brian in May whether he believed Hayden would be better off without him, he candidly expressed that he would be a “fool” to not step back and allow her to “flourish in her career.” He considered her the most talented individual he had ever encountered and shared excitement about her future achievements over the next three decades.
Hayden was also looking forward to a brighter future. During a podcast around the time of our interview with Brian, she expressed that she had much life left to live and felt she had finally closed the chapter on a difficult period.
Brian noted that Hayden would forever hold a cherished spot in his heart.
