Sofia Carson, known for her role in Carry-On, embarks on a profound journey of self-discovery in Netflix’s highly anticipated film The Life List, which draws inspiration from the novel by Lori Nelson Spielman. This film promises to resonate with audiences as it explores themes of loss, hope, and personal growth. Carson portrays Alex, a young woman grappling with the emotional aftermath of her mother’s passing, played by Connie Britton of Zero Day. The narrative unfolds as Alex receives heartfelt video messages from her mother, recorded prior to her death, guiding her to fulfill a list of adventurous goals from her teenage years. This list includes thrilling experiences such as “going all out in a mosh pit” and “trying stand-up comedy,” pushing Alex to take risks and embrace life anew.
As Alex fulfills each item on her mother’s list, she receives new insights from her mother’s lawyer, portrayed by Kyle Allen from A Haunting in Venice. This unique arrangement not only serves as a catalyst for Alex’s personal growth but also leads her on a transformative journey filled with self-exploration and the potential for finding true love. The film promises to captivate viewers by weaving together elements of comedy, drama, and romance, making it a must-watch for fans of heartfelt storytelling. The Life List is set to premiere on Netflix on March 28, offering a compelling exploration of grief, resilience, and the pursuit of dreams that will resonate with audiences of all ages.
