Allegations of Targeting Black Diners Spark Controversy on Social Media
The controversy began with a blurry screenshot dubbed an “online hoax” by Texas Roadhouse. This image was posted in a Facebook group by a user named Nancy Smith. The post opened with a troubling statement: “To all you Blacks in here, keep this in mind. Hope you enjoy your meal next time you eat out.” The user alleged that there exists a private Facebook group of white servers who have devised a scheme to deliberately target Black diners, boasting over 400,000 members.
“When a table of Black diners arrives and places their order, we walk back to the kitchen to retrieve your food when it’s ready. There is ALWAYS a blind spot in the kitchen where we are licking our fingers and touching your food. If it happens to be a Texas Roadhouse or Logan’s, those rolls are full of our white saliva. Some of the cooks are in on this too. Think they are joking? They aren’t.”
This user further claimed that this “plan” originated from “Karamello the candy bar Anthony,” seemingly referencing Karmelo Anthony, who was sentenced to 35 years for a stabbing incident involving Austin Metcalf during a high school track meet in April 2025. The user concluded with a chilling remark: “Enjoy y’all’s food.”
