Simmons acknowledged that as a fitness influencer who faces “constant criticism” about her body, she can hardly imagine the level of scrutiny that Khloé endures in the spotlight of fame.
When asked how she deals with the criticism, Khloé reflected, “It’s interesting. I found that when I was larger, I felt more confident. I think it was because I knew what people would say about me. I had my days when I felt low and all of that, but I embraced who I was at that time.”
“As I embarked on my fitness journey and started becoming fit, I felt an overwhelming need to maintain this lifestyle, almost as if it wasn’t just for me,” she added. “I kept thinking, ‘I can’t gain weight again because everyone expects me to stay fit.’”
“The type of attention I was receiving changed significantly, and as I grew older, I realized, ‘Wait, this is gross.’ I hated that the reason I was getting more attention was due to my appearance,” she expressed candidly.
Khloé, a mother of two, admitted that the initial attention was exciting, but she soon realized it was “all so fake.”
“As long as you are aware that it’s all smoke and mirrors, and you know it’s all so fake, you have to ensure you are doing this for you,” she advised, emphasizing the importance of self-motivation and internal validation.

Khloé elaborated that she frequently conducts “self check-ins” to reflect on her motivations and actions.
“Not that it’s good, but when I encounter challenges in my life, I tend to become very introspective and conduct these major self check-ins,” she explained. “I ask myself, ‘Am I doing this for me? Am I attempting to impress someone else or conforming to societal expectations?’ Whatever your conclusion may be, when you realize, ‘Okay, I need to prioritize what’s best for me,’ then the rest truly doesn’t matter.”
The Kardashians star mentioned the adage, “With age comes wisdom,” asserting that she has found it to be true as she has matured.
“You reach a point where you’re like, ‘You don’t bother me the way you once did,’” she told Simmons, reflecting on her personal growth.
She then shared her insights gained over years of public commentary regarding her body image.
“Initially, it’s truly difficult for many people to endure all that noise, but I’ve learned that it’s just noise,” she continued. “I’ve come to understand that I can never please everyone, whether I was larger or thinner. Regardless of my size, I still had the same number of people around me, just from different perspectives.”

“When I lost weight, I felt like a traitor to the larger community. I thought, ‘I’m not myself anymore. I’m no longer funny or all the things that I still am at my core,’” Khloé reflected. “I may have changed aesthetically, but I am still the same person.”
“Once I truly came to terms with that… I realized I’m not here to make everyone happy. The question is, am I happy? If so, then that’s all that matters,” she concluded.
Simmons referenced Khloé’s earlier statement about feeling more confident when she was larger, finding it “crazy.”
Khloé agreed, stating it is “crazy,” and admitted, “I never thought I was fat until I got on TV and everyone told me how fat I was.”
“I had no idea I was fat, and what’s interesting is, looking back, I’m like, ‘Wait, I actually wasn’t as fat as I convinced myself I was,’” she reminisced, noting the societal pressures of that era that favored extreme thinness.
Simmons, who boasts three million followers on TikTok and four million on Instagram, shared that she “never dealt with such poor self-confidence and esteem” until she began posting workout videos online, where critics would comment on parts of her body they “did not like.”

Khloé pointed out that online trolls are “not doing anything” but are “sitting on the couch judging you.”
“It’s always those who are really behind a computer, doing nothing,” she added, emphasizing the disconnect between online criticism and real life.
Khloé then addressed a frequent comment she receives regarding her weight loss journey.
“I always hear, ‘Oh, it must be easy when you have a trainer’ or ‘it must be easy when you have a home gym,’” she noted. “Well, I didn’t for years. I only got a home gym four years ago, but what about the years it took me to get here?”
“Everyone wants an excuse,” she continued. “It wasn’t easy 15 years ago, but I didn’t use those excuses then. I was at 24 Hour Fitness, doing what I needed to do to get there. People will always have something to say.”
Khloé mentioned that she brushes off comments about her “form” while working out. “I’m not a trainer, but they want to say something and tear you apart just to say, ‘Gotcha!’” she remarked, highlighting the challenges of public scrutiny.

Throughout the conversation, Khloé expressed her commitment to promoting a healthy body image for her 7-year-old daughter, True.
“We don’t talk about our bodies in a negative way—like not focusing on appearance—but I love that she sees me working out and being healthy,” she emphasized, “but not in an obsessive manner.”
“I just want her to understand that I’m active,” she continued. “It doesn’t always have to be in the gym; whether we’re running around outside or playing, I love that aspect of our lives.”
Joking about her “food problem” due to her love for the kids’ menu, Khloé expressed her desire for True to “see the balance” in life.
“I want her to see that I’m active because I’m healthy and want to be strong enough to play with you and do anything,” she elaborated, “but I also want her to see me enjoying a slice of pizza.”
Khloé further shared that she often feels “nervous” about people “picking apart” their bodies on social media.
“These are things I can’t control, so I try, as much as possible, to manage what happens inside my home,” she disclosed, emphasizing her focus on her family environment.
