According to DownDetector, a service owned by Mashable’s parent company Ziff Davis, reports of the Spotify outage began to surge around 12 p.m. CT, peaking approximately half an hour later at 12:35 p.m. CT. This spike in outage reports indicates a significant disruption affecting many users across various platforms.

Currently, there is no specific timeline available for when the app will fully resume its operations. We will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates as more information becomes available regarding the status of Spotify’s services.

The timing of this outage is particularly unfortunate, as Spotify had just launched a new feature called “Party of the Year(s)” on Tuesday morning. This feature forms part of the company’s 20-year anniversary celebrations, allowing users to revisit their first-ever Spotify listen and discover other nostalgic highlights from their listening history.

This is a developing story…
