Texas A&M legend and current Buffalo Bills starting outside linebacker Von Miller put on a defensive clinic during the team’s season-opening road win against the 2021 Super Bowl Champion Los Angeles Rams, showing that age is just a number as the 33-year-old former 2nd overall draft pick continues to shine no matter what team he’s on.
In blowout fashion, The Bills trounced the Rams 31-10, while Von Miller led the defense with 2 sacks and 3 tackles for loss, having a performance that almost mirrored his incredible showing in Super Bowl 50. Miller’s sack numbers currently stand at 117.5, which are the most by an active player in the entire NFL.
As the Bills came into the matchup as one of the clear favorites to not only represent the AFC in the Super Bowl this season but to win the whole thing, their offseason acquisition of Von Miller, who spent the latter half of last season with the Ram’s while playing a key role throughout the playoffs in securing their 2021 Super Bowl for the organization, Miller chose to forge a new path while hoping to be the last piece in the puzzle for a Bills organization that is trying to secure their first championship in franchise history after their well-known stretch of appearances in the mid-’90s.
