As the cold and dreary month of January drags on, many people find themselves seeking a little indulgence to brighten their spirits. Thankfully, this time of year is also ripe with enticing sales opportunities. One of the standout deals currently available is a generous 20 percent discount on the Google Pixel 8a, which is now priced at just $399, down from its original price of $499. This offer mirrors the fantastic savings seen during Black Friday, making it an excellent time to invest in a new smartphone.
Launched in May of the previous year, the Google Pixel 8a has received rave reviews, achieving an impressive score of 90 in our assessment. We firmly believe that this smartphone provides exceptional value, even at its full retail price, earning it the title of the best midrange smartphone available. This accolade is largely due to its stunning 6.1-inch OLED display, which features a remarkable 120Hz refresh rate, a notable upgrade from the 90Hz refresh rate found on its predecessor, the Pixel 7a. This enhancement ensures smooth scrolling and vibrant visuals, making it perfect for gaming and media consumption.
In addition to its stunning display, the Google Pixel 8a is equipped with a powerful 4,492 mAh battery that promises impressive longevity. During our testing, this robust battery managed to last an astonishing 20 hours and 29 minutes on a single charge, ensuring that you can get through your day without worrying about running low on power. Furthermore, the smartphone boasts exceptional photography capabilities, featuring a 64MP main camera and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor. These advanced camera systems deliver striking images that hold their own against competitors, including the Samsung 24 Ultra, making the Pixel 8a an outstanding choice for photography enthusiasts.
