The untimely passing of AEW star PAC is not being treated as suspicious. Authorities have informed TMZ that there are no indications of foul play in his death.
The Des Plaines Police Department confirmed to TMZ that the individual discovered deceased on Sunday in Illinois has been positively identified as the professional wrestler, whose real name is Benjamin Satterley. Investigators believe no criminal activity contributed to his death.
Authorities report that the specific cause and manner of death remain under investigation by the medical examiner’s office.
The Cook County Medical Examiner has indicated that while an autopsy was conducted, further tests could extend the timeline for final results by several weeks.
According to previous reports by TMZ, PAC was discovered unresponsive inside his vehicle in the parking lot of a CAVA restaurant in Des Plaines around 4 PM on Sunday.
Audio from dispatch indicated a report of a “slumper” in a car, and bystanders noted seeing him inside the vehicle before alerting emergency services.
He was pronounced deceased shortly thereafter at the age of 40.
This tragic event occurred less than 24 hours after PAC participated in AEW’s All Out event in Chicago, where he competed against Andrade for the AEW National Championship and made a later appearance during the main event.
