Why Is Jasmin Brown Nervous About Raising A Son?
Jasmin Brown shared her parenting concerns in a series of Instagram Stories posts. She began by labeling her post a “transparency moment,” then explaining why she’d be “nervous” if God granted her a son. Her first child was a little girl whose name she and Cam have not shared.
“…Because I feel like I’d subconsciously raise him to be a man I can only dream of but never experienced. And that’s traumatic,” Jasmin wrote.
In another post, she wrote that “everyone keeps wishing a son” on her, citing a boy’s love. However, the thought of mothering a boy fills Jasmin with “so much anxiety,” she said. Later, she clarified that she ultimately hopes for a healthy pregnancy and birth—regardless of the baby’s gender.
“All in all, I’m just praying for a healthy full-term pregnancy/labor, and delivery for me and my babe. Boy or girl idc. I’m just praying for healthy.”
What Motherly Advice Did Jess Hilarious Share?
After The Shade Room reposted Jasmin Brown’s message, nearly 5,000 reactions poured into the comment section. Amid the responses was a lil’ advice from Jess Hilarious. The radio host is a mother to two children, a 13-year-old son from a previous relationship and a 1-year-old daughter with fiancé Chris. Unlike reactions dragging Jasmin, Jess Hilarious sympathized with Brown.
“I totally understand it, Jasmin! And you have every right to feel that way mama! Your son will truly love you to ends of the earth and back! Like no love you’ve ever had before. That anxiety will morph into EXCITEMENT! Believe me.”
From the looks of it, Jasmin Brown has not replied to Jess’ advice. However, over 350 likes later, other roomies seem to resonate with the wise words.
