Chad Gilbert’s Recovery After Brain Tumor Surgery

Chad Gilbert, guitarist and singer of New Found Glory, is recovering after doctors discovered three brain tumors.

Chad shared on Instagram that he experienced limb control issues last month. This prompted a visit to the ER, where a CT scan revealed the tumors.

Chad underwent a successful surgery to remove the tumors on February 27, 2026. He has been recovering in the hospital since then.

He expressed optimism, stating, “My radiation oncologist described it like this: ‘this is not a fatal blow and not the end of your story, just the beginning of a new chapter.’

Chad noted that his recovery has had its challenges, but he is getting stronger each day.

This incident is not Chad’s first serious health issue. He previously battled a rare adrenal gland cancer known as metastatic pheochromocytoma, which had spread to his spine and lungs.
