A seemingly trivial dispute over a trash can spiraled into a chaotic series of physical confrontations, family conflicts, and legal repercussions within a North Carolina community. The altercation began between Ayla Clayton and her neighbor, Twindalynn Harris, when a trash bin positioned near a driveway triggered rising tensions, ultimately leading to violent encounters involving their families.
Currently, The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is investigating this incident and the resulting criminal summons on ‘TSR Investigates.’
What Led to a Dramatic Neighborhood Fight Over a Trash Can?
As reported by Carter, earlier this year, doorbell camera footage captured Twindalynn Harris placing her trash can adjacent to Ayla Clayton’s driveway. Shortly thereafter, the footage showed Clayton relocating Harris’ trash can. This action prompted Harris to contact law enforcement.
Clayton recounted that she explained the situation to the police, who advised her to reach out to her homeowners association (HOA) for further resolution. as the next trash collection day approached, the tensions between the two parties only intensified.
Ultimately, this escalating situation culminated in Clayton suffering multiple facial bruises.
“I was taking my trash around to the back — I keep my trash at the back door. She came out and said, ‘I saw your videos.’ Then she just attacked me,” Clayton shared in a recorded statement.
Details of the Trash Can Conflict Between Ayla Clayton & Twindalynn Harris
Carter further reported that Twindalynn Harris subsequently filed a police report, even though she was the one accused of instigating the conflict. In her report, she claimed that Ayla Clayton attempted to strike her but did not succeed. The situation escalated even further when Clayton’s sister arrived at Harris’ residence, seemingly prepared for a confrontation. This prompted Harris to call her own family members, who appeared eager to join the fray.
