The upcoming music sharing feature for WhatsApp Status is designed to resemble the music sharing capabilities found on Instagram. This new process will showcase album art prominently when users share links from Spotify, enhancing the visual appeal and user interaction.
According to reports from Android Police:
“When sharing updates to WhatsApp Status, a captivating preview of the song or album cover art will be generated, displaying both the song and artist(s)’ names. Users can customize their backgrounds with four color options inspired by the cover art’s dominant hues. Meanwhile, viewers will have the ability to click a ‘Play on Spotify’ button when viewing your Status Update.”
