Transit App Moovit Revolutionizes Long-Distance Travel Planning in Europe by partnering with the travel marketplace Distribusion Technologies. This collaboration enables users to seamlessly plan and book long-distance trips across Europe. The enhanced app now features a robust ticketing system operational in 40 European countries, providing travelers with an efficient means of navigating their journeys.
With this new functionality, users can easily book train, bus, and ferry tickets directly from the app. Additionally, they can gain valuable insights into directions to nearby stations, check real-time schedules, and monitor their trip timings closely. This comprehensive approach to travel planning is designed to significantly reduce the stress associated with long-distance travel, allowing users to manage various aspects of their journey through a single, user-friendly interface. Moovit proudly claims this innovation as a “first for urban mobility platforms.”
For the first time, Moovit has introduced mobile ticketing capabilities for inter-city journeys throughout Europe, including cross-border trips. This monumental achievement has been made possible through strategic partnerships with major transport carriers, including Deutsche Bahn, Trenitalia, and National Express, ensuring travelers have access to extensive travel options and routes.
This innovative ticketing tool is currently available on Android, iOS, and the web client, making it accessible to a broad audience. However, it is important to note that this service is exclusively available in Europe at this time. The app boasts coverage in 3,500 cities across 112 countries, and we will keep you updated on when this advanced technology expands to other regions.
