On Sunday, July 12, Christine Wonsley took to Facebook to express her feelings towards individuals “making light or joking” about her son’s passing.
“For those of you trivializing or joking about my son’s death, I sincerely hope you never experience this kind of anguish,” she stated. “If you ever find yourself in a similar situation, I hope others will show you compassion. I wish that no one would joke about the loss of your loved ones. I was appalled by comments made by two people from my high school; it was utterly disgraceful. I will pray for you. Messages for Nolan’s Friends from His Mother
<pEarlier, on Saturday, July 11, Christine Wonsley shared another brief message on Facebook. This message was directed towards her family, friends, and the friends of her son.
“The online discourse has become chaotic. To my family, friends, and Nolan’s friends, please refrain from engaging and prioritize your mental health,” she urged.
Before this, Wonsley had shared a heartfelt post featuring a photo of her son with his friends.

As reported by The Shade Room, Nolan Xavier Wells went missing after leaving for Horn Island with a group of friends on July 4. His body was discovered on the north side of the island on Monday, July 6, following a search conducted by his parents on July 5.
A state autopsy has been performed on the teenager, with results still pending. Christine Wonsley, Elmore Wonsley, and attorney Ben Crump are overseeing an independent autopsy.
