Miss North Carolina USA Winner’s Family Speaks Out After Dethroning

The family of Brittany Boltinhouse, who held the title of Miss North Carolina USA 2026, has come forward to express their thoughts after she was stripped of her crown due to allegations regarding her previous social media posts that featured racially insensitive language.

A family representative defended Brittany in a statement to the Daily Mail, emphasizing the importance of sharing her perspective. They stated, “It is crucial to present her truth and establish a narrative that counters the one intended to protect the reputation of [of] the organization.”

The family added, “We have many thoughts to share, but we are choosing to focus on prayer and unity, responding in a way that aligns with the values God calls us to.”

The organizers of the North Carolina pageant, Blaize Productions, announced on Wednesday that they would be revoking Brittany’s crown, which she had won on June 28, and that the title would be awarded to the runner-up, Myla Hadley.

Blaize Productions emphasized the necessity of maintaining the standards and values that titleholders are expected to uphold. They stated that this commitment left them with no choice but to strip Brittany of her title.

The CEO of Miss USA, Thom Brodeur, indicated that Brittany had agreed to resign from her position as Miss North Carolina due to her actions not aligning with the pageant’s standards. He added, “The Miss USA organization stands firmly against racism, homophobia, transphobia, and any language that diminishes the dignity of individuals.”

Reports from The NC Beat reveal that Brittany allegedly posted numerous racially charged comments on social media under the alias Sosa the Stallion between 2017 and 2019, including repeated use of the n-word and calling herself “toxic.”
