Miguel Cabrera’s Divorce: Second Filing by His Wife

Miguel Cabrera‘s wife has successfully finalized her divorce from the renowned MLB icon, marking a significant chapter in their lives just over eight years after she initially sought to end their marriage.

Court documents, which were obtained by TMZ Sports, indicate that on May 14, Rosangel Cabrera officially filed for divorce from Miguel Cabrera, marking the second time she has taken such legal action since their initial attempt in 2017.

In the legal documents, Rosangel described the marriage as “irretrievably broken,” which led to the filing for divorce. Following Miguel’s compliance with the divorce proceedings and his signing of the necessary paperwork, a judge officially finalized the divorce on June 18, just days later.

Previously, Rosangel had sought a divorce in March of 2017, just before Miguel Cabrera’s season began with the Detroit Tigers. However, shortly after filing, she opted to retract her request, which led to a period of uncertainty in their relationship.

In her most recent filing, Rosangel did not specify the reasons that prompted her to make the final decision to terminate their marriage, but she did request that the court formally approve the marital settlement and postnuptial agreements that both parties had previously negotiated in 2017.

Over the course of their two-decade-long marriage, Miguel and Rosangel celebrated numerous milestones and faced various challenges, having originally tied the knot in Venezuela back in 2002, which marked the beginning of their shared journey together.
