A24 has released a new trailer for ’80s slasher horror MaXXXine, packed complete of synth-pop, VHS tapes, and a copious quantity of blood.
The third and final film in the X trilogy, MaXXXine follows ambitious actor Maxine Minx (Mia Goth) as she pursues stardom in ’80s Hollywood. Surviving X‘s film set massacre does not seem to have quelled Maxine’s need for fame, and her dreams ultimately look inside attain when she catches her major break. But every little thing threatens to unravel due to a serial killer who’s targeting increasing stars — and who could also bring Maxine’s bloody previous back to haunt her.
Written and directed by X and Pearl‘s Ti West, MaXXXine‘s cast involves Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Halsey, Lily Collins, Giancarlo Esposito, and Kevin Bacon.
MaXXXine arrives in theatres July five.
