I’ve seen Celebrity Wars: Episode I: The Phantom Threat much more times than I’m comfortable confessing, and I’m rather certain Anakin doesn’t associate a yellow lightsaber in it. And yet, in Wonder’s brand-new comic, Celebrity Wars: The Phantom Threat 25th Wedding Anniversary Unique #1 appearing May 1, that’s precisely what’ll take place.
Composed by Greg Pak, including art by Will Sliney and a cover by Phil Noto, the comic will certainly retell the tale of The Phantom Threat completely from Anakin’s viewpoint. So, keep in mind when he informs Qui-Gon and close friends he had a desire that he was a Jedi? Well, currently we reach see it…
It should have been rather interesting for Pak and Sliney to produce an entire brand-new Anakin seek the desire, and, we’d visualize, have a couple of Q&A sessions with the Lucasfilm Tale Team to all right making use of a yellow lightsaber. However, it’s a desire, right? So none of that actually issues. It’s just canon in Anakin’s mind. (Actually, possibly the yellow was the Pressure foreshadowing an additional Skywalker that would certainly fire up a yellow saber on Tatooine in, oh, concerning 60 years in the future.)
“I was 8 when A Brand-new Hope appeared, so for my developmental years, Celebrity Wars was identified with the initial trilogy,” Pak informed StarWars.com. “However I dove deep right into the innovators when I came on board as the author of Wonder’s Darth Vader comics, enjoying and rewatching every one of them. And I discovered myself impressed by the lengthy video game George Lucas was playing in outlining the disaster of Darth Vader. It’s been an outright enjoy add to that heritage by reviewing The Phantom Threat with brand-new scenes from the viewpoint of young Anakin.”
Below’s the cover of the problem, by Phil Noto.
