Marjorie Taylor Greene Reveals She’s Resigning From Congressional Seat In 2026

On Friday, November 21, Marjorie Taylor Greene took to X to share a video message with her followers. Furthermore, in the ten-minute clip, she revealed that she’s “always been despised in Washington D.C.” and despite which party gets elected, the country’s economy, job market, and overall trajectory declines. Additionally, Greene noted the country’s recent shutdown as disastrous and wrong. She also noted that she’s largely stood by Republican principles only disagreeing with foreign wars, the replacement of American jobs with H-1b Visas, 50-year mortgage scams, etc., and advocating for the release of the Epstein files.

“America first should mean America first and only Americans first,” she stated. “… I have too much self-respect and dignity, I love my family too much and I do not want my sweet district to endure a hurtful and hateful primary against me by a president that we all fought for…”

In a subsequent tweet, Greene included her official statement, revealing her resignation commencing on January 5, 2026.

Per NBC News, Greene’s announcement arrives amid her recent conflicts with Trump leading to the president to call her Marjorie “Traitor” Greene. Additionally, Trump reportedly withdrew his support for her reelection.
