The Mandalorian and Grogu is set to launch this month, bringing excitement for fans alongside a wave of new toys and merchandise that will be released in the coming months.
The latest offering from Lego is the thrilling “Hutt Palace Sentry Droid Showdown” set. Comprising 415 pieces, this engaging set allows users to recreate epic battles as Din and Grogu confront the formidable Hutt Cartel’s three-armed sentry equipped with a stud shooter. After successfully defeating the sentry and gaining entry through the palace doors, they must face yet another formidable foe: Embo, the renowned bounty hunter from the Clone Wars era. Armed with his bowcaster, Embo also has a companion, his loyal anooba named Keibu.
In his first appearances, Embo was accompanied by another named Marrok, who, according to the Aftermath: Empire’s End novel, unfortunately, perished before the New Republic era. Thus, it is canonically fitting that Embo would acquire a new pet. This change likely also draws inspiration from other Star Wars projects, such as Ahsoka and Maul: Shadow Lord, both of which feature a character with the same name among their ensemble, with Dave Filoni playing a significant creative role.
Aside from the newly named space dog, this set is inspired by an intense battle scene glimpsed in the final trailer for The Mandalorian and Grogu, where Din engages in a fierce fight against two sentry droids while Grogu attempts to deactivate one. Enthusiasts of the film can meticulously recreate this scene or craft their own imaginative scenarios—perhaps one where Din and Embo forge an alliance or Grogu single-handedly overcomes the entire adversary lineup. The possibilities are endless, but fans will need to be patient: while the movie premieres on May 22, the set will be available starting August 1 for £44.99 (approximately $53).
