And it must be said, that super suit is truly impressive.
Last year, James Gunn, co-president of DC Studios and acclaimed filmmaker, announced his upcoming film, Man of Tomorrow. The film will feature David Corenswet as Superman and Nicholas Hoult portraying Lex Luthor. The announcement came alongside original artwork depicting Superman and Lex together, showcasing Lex in a striking green suit reminiscent of the Hammer of Boravia character he designed in the previous film. that was some time ago, and now that Gunn and his team are actively filming, he decided to share this exciting update.

Here’s an opportunity to view it up close.
Several intriguing points arise from this reveal. Firstly, it’s exciting to see Nicholas Hoult actually donning the suit. It’s clear there will be various suits for different scenes, some of which may be created using CGI. the fact that Hoult has a tangible suit that looks this impressive is thrilling for fans.
Secondly, one wonders about the location being used in the film. Could this be a set constructed specifically for the movie? It might simply be a space where Gunn intended to capture interesting lighting, but the shadows raise questions. What do those lines signify? Are they bars? Is Lex’s prison environment reminiscent of a beach? If he is indeed confined, why is he permitted to wear the suit? These questions remain unanswered.
As filming progresses on Man of Tomorrow, anticipate a steady stream of new images, especially if Gunn and his team opt to shoot outdoors as they did in the previous film. As we approach next summer, excitement builds for the release of Man of Tomorrow in theaters.
The DC Universe will continue to unfold this month with the premiere of Supergirl on June 26. Following that, Lanterns is set for August, with Man of Tomorrow scheduled to hit theaters on July 9, 2027.
