“Mr. Smith categorically denies the allegations as reported and has not been the subject of an arrest by any law enforcement agency,” stated the attorney in a communication to The Shade Room, reinforcing Method Man’s position and preserving his public image amidst swirling rumors.

Understanding the Allegations Against Method Man
The controversial report surfaced from The New York Post, citing unnamed law enforcement sources. The article alleged that Method Man was involved in an incident at a Crunch Fitness gym located in Staten Island. However, it fails to provide a specific timeline for when this supposed occurrence took place. The report further claims that the individual involved, 28-year-old Patrick Sokoya, had a previous relationship with Method’s daughter more than a decade ago, suggesting that this past connection may have contributed to the alleged altercation.
According to the claims, Method Man reportedly punched Patrick seven times in the face “with a closed fist.” Despite feeling dizzy after the alleged encounter, Patrick supposedly declined medical attention at the scene. The New York Post also noted that the NYPD filed a complaint regarding this incident, though they did not proceed with an arrest of Method Man, whose legal name is Clifford Smith Jr., leaving many questions unanswered about the situation.
As of now, Method Man has not publicly addressed the allegations on his social media accounts, choosing to remain silent amidst the controversy. According to PEOPLE, the renowned rapper and actor, part of the iconic Wu-Tang Clan, has three adult children. His first child, a son named Shakuan, was born in the 1990s. Subsequently, he welcomed twins, a son named Raekwon and a daughter named Cheyenne, who are also making their own marks in the entertainment industry.
