Simply two weeks after its premiere, Tomb Raider: The Legend of Lara Croft will get to inform extra of its hero’s story.
Netflix and Powerhouse Animation’s anime adaptation of the action-adventure collection received the inexperienced gentle for season two. The following chapter in Lara’s (Haley Atwell) present will see her reunite with Sam Nishimura (Karen Fukuhara), her BFF from the Survivor trilogy who briefly appeared within the first season. Based on the press launch, the duo embark on a quest to get well a set of stolen African Orisha masks. Together with uncovering the ability and “darkish secrets and techniques” of the masks, Lara and Sam will go up towards a “harmful and enigmatic billionaire” that desires the masks for her personal ends.
Showrunner Tasha Huo defined that Legend’s first season was about “Lara embracing how her dad handled grief” by way of isolation. For season two, we’ll see her construct out a stronger assist system: “As we get into season two,” she teased, “Lara [will] go from remoted hero who solely desires to do issues on her personal — a lone wolf — to realizing, ‘Truly, I’ve this actually cool crew behind me.’” Past Sam (who hasn’t had a full look within the video games since Tomb Raider 2013), that crew presumably extra Jonah, Camilla Roth, and Zip, who all appeared within the first season.
Tomb Raider’s first season was a reasonably stable online game present that appeared to have loads of enjoyable hopping across the globe and molding Survivor Lara into the unique, badass model from the sooner video games. For those who haven’t watched it, give it a shot, each as a result of Powerhouse’s Lara is a full adrenaline freak (in a great way), but in addition as a result of it’ll be some time earlier than we see or right here extra about season two and the following mainline sport.
