Agnes said her woes started after she was conned KSh 70,000 in late September, leading to the collapse of her shop business selling cereals and mali mali (plastic items).

She listed the debts owed to other businesses and friends, totalling over KSh 60,000. Agnes admitted that she was stressed for weeks, but her daughter being barred from school over rent arrears was the straw that broke the camel’s back.

“To my family, I am sorry as I am writing to you goodbye. I am sorry if I failed you in any way.”

Agnes instructed that her business be given to her sister and for her house help, Tabby, to take all household items.
