Cardi B and Offset put their ongoing divorce drama aside temporarily to come together and celebrate their children’s birthdays.
The estranged couple gathered on Saturday for an elaborate birthday celebration for their son Wave, who celebrated his 5th birthday on Friday, and their daughter Blossom, who will turn 2 on Monday.
The birthday party featured vibrant Disney and “Sonic the Hedgehog” themes, complete with balloon arches, carnival games, and even an open bar. Cardi embraced the celebration by dressing as Minnie Mouse.
Offset shared delightful clips of Wave joyfully dancing with cotton candy in hand, while Cardi also posted multiple videos from the event. Interestingly, Cardi and Offset did not appear together in any of the shared posts.
During the festivities, Cardi humorously referenced her love life while showcasing the party’s Chipotle stand, noting that she had previously wished for a similar setup at her wedding. She quipped, “I ain’t getting married no time soon,” implying the kids deserved it instead.
Despite the ongoing challenges, Cardi and Offset remain legally married, as she filed for divorce for the second time in August 2024.
As previously reported by TMZ, Offset later sought joint custody of their three children, and tensions escalated during the divorce process. Cardi has publicly expressed her frustrations with Offset multiple times, and he has also made remarks about her as the divorce has unfolded.
Despite their differences, Cardi and Offset have previously managed to set aside their issues for their children, as they came together to celebrate Wave’s birthday in 2024, even while their divorce proceedings continued.
While marriage may not be on the horizon, it seems Chipotle is here to stay.
