This act of secrecy underscores the complexities of her relationships during this tumultuous time.
Cassie explained that although she and Combs had ended their romantic involvement, they still engaged in what she referred to as “freak offs,” organized by Combs himself. During one of these encounters, Cassie revealed that Diddy discovered her communication with Cudi and reacted violently. She recounted a harrowing incident where he lunged at her with a corkscrew and physically assaulted her by kicking her in the back, showcasing the intense volatility of their relationship.

Adding to the alarming narrative, Cassie’s mother, Regina Ventura, testified that her daughter confided in her about Combs’ furious reaction to the relationship with Cudi. Regina revealed that Combs had made threats to release sexually explicit videos of Cassie and even suggested sending someone to harm both her and Cudi. In a desperate bid to protect her daughter, Regina testified that she wired Combs $20,000 to avert the threats, which, fortunately, she later received back.
