On April 4, Darius Daulton Jackson took to social media once again to elaborate on his transformative journey. He acknowledged his recent absence from the public eye, remarking, “I don’t talk about much anymore…but tonight I don’t mind opening up to an unknown audience,” which indicated his willingness to share his experiences with followers.
In the accompanying photo, Darius took a mirror selfie while in uniform, appearing to be in a living quarters setting. He continued his heartfelt caption by reflecting on his decision to join the Army at 30, describing it as “random but much needed,” emphasizing the significance of his choice.
“The more I pray, the more God has given me the clarity that this has been the best decision I have made for myself. Now, don’t get me wrong, I HATE being away from Leodis & I HATE TRADOC! However, being older has allowed me to have so much patience & wisdom to get me through some of these rough times,” Jackson shared openly.
For context, Leodis is Daulton’s son, whom he shares with Keke Palmer. The little one was born in February 2023, and just last month, Jackson shared an endearing video capturing moments of him playing in a ball pit with his son, adorably captioned, “Year 2.”

In his most recent update, Darius Daulton Jackson offered a candid observation about the “last few years” of his life, acknowledging the myriad of challenges and changes he has faced.
“Last few years speaks for itself which is why I show so much gratitude to God for giving me this redemption. Story is FAR from complete but the foundation is set. To anyone at my age, older or younger… regardless of what life brings you, you still have a chance to pave your own lane. Anyways, I can’t wait to get outta AIT,” Darius Daulton Jackson expressed with heartfelt sincerity.
Current Status of Keke Palmer and Darius Daulton Jackson’s Co-Parenting Relationship
Darius’ public image began to take a downturn following a July 2023 incident where he publicly criticized Keke, his then-girlfriend, regarding her attire at an Usher concert. By November of that same year, Keke disclosed that they had ended their relationship the previous month.
Subsequently, details emerged regarding a confrontation between him and Keke over visitation rights with their son, Leo. This incident escalated to the involvement of law enforcement, resulting in Keke being granted a temporary restraining order. The situation became more complicated as even Keke’s mother and Darius’ brother got drawn into the conflict! After a delay in their court appearance, the parents were scheduled for mediation. However, by early February 2024, Darius was back online, publicly discussing visitation and their ongoing custody battle.
