Joe Doering, Wrestling Star, Passes Away at 44

Renowned wrestling figure Joe Doering has passed away at the young age of 44, as reported on Friday.

Doering, who made his mark in various wrestling promotions including Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, fought a courageous battle against brain cancer for over ten years.

His journey with brain cancer began with a diagnosis in 2016, leading to surgery to remove a tumor. Sadly, the cancer recurred in 2022, necessitating another surgical intervention.

Late last year, Doering faced a third diagnosis of a brain tumor, leading him to enter hospice care earlier this month.

Maple Leaf Pro Wrestling was the first to announce the tragic news, stating, “At 9:13 AM today, June 26, our brother Joe Doering passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family.”

“Although Joe’s life was cut short at 44 years, he filled every moment with a richness that felt like a thousand lifetimes.”

The statement added, “Joe is survived by his cherished wife, Lindsay, his family, and an extensive network of friends and devoted fans globally who will always remember his remarkable strength, resilience, and spirit.”

Beyond his accolades in TNA, Doering also gained recognition in All Japan Pro Wrestling, where he held championship titles in both organizations.

Doering embarked on his wrestling career in 2004 and briefly appeared in WWE’s developmental territory, Florida Championship Wrestling, under the ring name Drake Brewer in 2010.
