During the police investigation, authorities discovered surveillance footage showing Jamichael forcibly entering the Lake St. James Apartments at approximately 3:14 a.m. on June 5, 2022. At that time, Trouble was peacefully asleep in the woman’s bed. Jones allegedly assaulted the woman while she was asleep, striking her in the face, before engaging in a physical altercation with Trouble, who attempted to intervene. Tragically, Jamichael shot the rapper once in the chest before fleeing the scene around 3:21 a.m. Trouble succumbed to his injuries later at the Rockdale County Piedmont Hospital. Following the incident, Jamichael’s mother played a pivotal role in persuading him to surrender to law enforcement, as reported by Fox 5 Atlanta.

Since June 2022, Jones had been held in the Rockdale County Jail without bond, facing a multitude of serious charges.
