Richarlison has posted on his Instagram that’ everything is going to be alright’ after he went off injured during Tottenham Hotspur’s 2-0 win over Everton in the Premier League on Saturday evening.
Just after the first-half break, Richarlison, coming up against his former club for the first time since his transfer to Spurs in the summer, was forced off injured with Yves Bissouma replacing the forward.
After the game, Antonio Conte shared some rather worrying news about the player and how he won’t be available for Tottenham’s trip to Manchester United next week, as he told Football London.
The Champions League matches take a backstep during these coming weeks, with Premier League games coming thick and fast ahead of a very busy domestic schedule.
Manchester United host Newcastle United on Sunday, they will also host Spurs next Wednesday, before the London club then take on Eddie Howe’s side at the end of the week.
Well, whilst Richarlison won’t be available for the trip to Manchester as confirmed by Conte, you have to question if he will be ready for the visit of Newcastle, as he posted the following message to fans, with Real Madrid star Vinicius Jr responding with a heart emoji to his fellow countryman.
“Thank you for all the messages,” said Richarlison. “Everything is going to be alright.”
As the likes of Reece James, N’Golo Kane and Kyle Walker are finding out. This is the wrong time to get injured because of what’s around the corner.
Even the smallest of knocks is probably going to set you back a few weeks, and then all of a sudden, you are facing a race against time to be fit for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar next month.
The gap between when the final domestic matches are played (12th November) to when the tournament kicks off itself (20th November) leaves little room for error and it wouldn’t be a surprise, as that moment gets closer, that players are naturally extra cautious.
