Meta has rolled out exciting new features for its Edits video editing application, which continues to receive updates nearly every week, enhancing its value as a tool for video editing and production.
The first major update focuses on the project folders within Edits, streamlining the management of various video concepts that are currently in progress.
Users can now long-press on a project to move it, enabling them to reorder their folder listings and prioritize their editing workflow effectively.
Additionally, U.S. users now have access to a new feature that transforms any still image into a video clip through conversational prompts.
As illustrated in the second image above, users can articulate the actions they wish to see animated within an image, and Meta’s AI will bring the photo or picture to life according to their description.
The application now allows users to bookmark preferred text and caption styles from a project. “Tap the bookmark icon on the text frame to save your favorite text and caption styles without leaving your canvas,” Meta stated in an Instagram post.
Saving specific text displays for future use can be a convenient method to ensure consistency across different projects.
Edits has also introduced a comprehensive overview of its expanding bilingual captioning features and additional text display tools. The app now also includes a new search functionality for audio clips “based on vibes, like chill or bossy, and interests, such as fashion and travel.”
Furthermore, Edits will enable users to create multiple versions of a single project and develop richer templates, which include overlay support and the ability to lock specific clips in position.
These new features are practical enhancements that will significantly boost Edits’ capability to assist users in crafting more creative and engaging video content.
