X is set to provide deeper insights regarding how adherence to local regulations affects post visibility, as part of its ongoing enhancement of user performance analytics.
Recently, X introduced its Under the Hood update, which offered greater transparency into the mechanics of the platform’s source code. Alongside this, the company launched a streamlined reporting feature allowing users to see any penalties or restrictions imposed on their posts or accounts.
Now, X is building on this foundation, offering additional insights into potential restrictions that may influence both post and profile visibility.
X elaborated: “We’ve enhanced Under The Hood in response to user demand for greater transparency regarding government-mandated content filtering. This updated feature not only displays labels applied to your account and posts over the last month but also reveals whether your account or posts experienced limited visibility due to compliance with local laws. For instance, you can identify if any of your posts were blocked in a specific country following a legal request — and which country that was.”
The enhanced data insights aim to alleviate concerns surrounding shadowbans and offer clearer understanding of post reach and performance, which could be particularly beneficial for users participating in X’s creator monetization program.
While this information may be beneficial to all users on the platform, it specifically highlights any labels associated with an account, some of which might lead to reduced visibility.
X stated that this new feature will be accessible to all accounts that are at least one year old and have published more than 10 posts in the previous month.
