“I Physically Run Away From My Wife” – Joe Rogan, After 13 Years of Marriage & Seldomly Bringing Up His Wife Jessica Ditzel, Discussed Marital Issues With Mark Zuckerberg & It’s Amusing

Joe Rogan and Mark Zuckerberg recently sat down for a podcast episode on the Joe Rogan Experience in August. The billionaire entrepreneur gave an insight into his work and life like the audience hadn’t seen before.

The pair spoke about an array of different subjects, including martial arts and the UFC. Moreover, the listeners of the podcast found out the commonality between Rogan and Zuckerberg.

In episode #1863 of the JRE, the pair revealed that their spouses easily frustrate both of them when they are working from home. 

Why is Mark Zuckerberg frustrated with his wife?

The topic came about when both of them were talking about the disadvantages of working from home. Specifically, tech companies trying to bring employees back to the office.

Zuckerberg stated that for an engineer it’s actually better to be away from the office. Instead, to be somewhere quiet for a few hours because it helps in concentrating. Thus, working on the problems and finding the solution becomes easy.

However, in the Meta CEO’s case his wife, Priscilla Chan, often breaks his concentration while he’s in the “flow” of working. Zuckerberg said, “I don’t know, it’s like I have this thing where, you know, it’s — I’ll be like in zone kind of flow concentration working on something and you know, my wife will like ask me some, some like basic question and I’ll just be like, ‘Oh man,’ it’s like, ‘I just like lost my flow,”

Nevertheless, for his wife it’s just a “quick question” and she’s gone, but like the businessman described, it snaps his concentration and causes distraction.

What does Joe Rogan do to avoid distraction?

Rogan chimed in on the same and said that he usually runs away from his wife when he gets an idea for a joke. The comedian said, “I physically run away from my wife when I have a joke idea,”. 

However, the podcaster added that his wife understands when a situation like this arises. He said that he has to do it [run away from her] or else even the slightest distraction from his wife shatters his focus.

After being married for almost 13 years to Jessica Ditzel, it’s safe to say that she’s built an understanding with the 55-year-old star like no one else.
