John Travolta is renowned as one of the most celebrated actors in the entertainment world, but he is equally a devoted father. The star of Grease shares three children with his late wife, Kelly Preston, who passed away in 2020. Over the years, John has shared snippets of his life with his children, which includes his firstborn, the late Jett, as well as his daughter Ella and youngest son Benjamin.
In December 2025, a lawsuit involving two former business associates of Priscilla Marie Presley alleged that Riley Keough is the biological mother of Benjamin, claiming she donated her eggs to John and Kelly.

Who Was Jett Travolta?

Jett was born on April 13, 1992, in Los Angeles, California. John and Kelly openly discussed Jett’s autism and revealed that he also suffered from Kawasaki syndrome, a condition that causes inflammation of the blood vessels, as noted by WebMD. Kelly shared in a 2012 episode of The Doctors that “He was autistic, he had seizures, and when he was very young, he had Kawasaki syndrome.” Tragically, Jett passed away in 2009 at the age of 16 after experiencing a seizure at the family’s vacation home in the Bahamas.
Following his passing, John and Kelly made it a point to honor Jett’s memory by sharing his story with the public and posting his photos on social media, particularly on special dates like his birthday. On the tenth anniversary of Jett’s death, Kelly posted a heartfelt tribute that included a touching message: “To my sweet love, Jett… you are in our hearts forever,” accompanying a photo of John and her sharing a kiss with him. “I send love to all the beautiful autistic children and the wonderful people who love them. May we all shine and grant love and respect to children with special needs.”
What About Ella Travolta?
Ella was born on April 3, 2000, in California. She began her acting career at the young age of 9, starring alongside Robin Williams in Old Dogs. She later appeared in John’s film, The Poison Rose, in 2019. Ella also took part in a live-action reimagining of Alice in Wonderland titled Get Lost in 2021, prompting John to share a proud post on Instagram featuring a photo of her in costume, along with a loving caption. “Here’s my daughter Ella starring in a live action re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland! Called, ‘Get Lost’ I’m a very proud dad!”
When Ella is not working on her acting career, she values spending quality time with her family. She frequently shares photos with her father and younger brother, Benjamin, and often pays tribute to her late brother Jett and mother Kelly through heartfelt messages.

Who is Benjamin Travolta?
Benjamin was born on November 23, 2010, making him the youngest of John and Kelly’s children. He has already experienced the glitz and glamour of Hollywood, making his red carpet debut at the premiere of Solo: A Star Wars Story in France in May 2018. Outside of the spotlight, Benjamin enjoys various sports. “He’s into gymnastics, tennis, fishing, and the computer world, like all the kids,” John shared with People in August 2019.
This talented teen also shares a passion for dancing and has appeared in several dance videos with his father. John revealed that Benjamin has a thoughtful nature, recalling a profound conversation they had about life and gratitude following Kelly’s passing. “He said, ‘Does 30 years ago seem like a long time?’ I said, ‘Yeah.’ He said, ‘Don’t you think you have 30 more years in your life to live?’ I said, ‘Yeah, I do. I have at least 30 more years.’ He said, ‘What’s wrong with that?’” John recounted on Hart to Heart in August 2021. “This is a 10-year-old telling me that! It changed my viewpoint.”
