Key Highlights
- New Series: A fresh anime featuring a teenage boy who embodies **Godzilla’s** power has been announced.
- Art Style: The concept art suggests influences from **Kaiju No. 8** and **My Hero Academia**.
- Production Team: The anime will be created by **Orange** and **Igloo Studio**, known for their previous works.
- Thematic Depth: The series aims to explore modern fears and hopes according to **Toho’s Chief Godzilla Officer**.
Turns out, we’ve got even more **Godzilla** to look forward to—in addition to the upcoming Minus Zero and Godzilla x Kong: Supernova, there’s a new anime coming where the King of the Monsters is…a teenage boy?
That’s apparently the premise for the new series announced at **Anime Festival Asia Singapore 2025**. While light on details, concept art shows an unnamed kid looking very much like the iconic monster and using his breath attack, while **Godzilla** himself is in the background. The art gives off vibes of Kaiju No. 8, which is about a guy transforming into a monster, or even My Hero Academia, since the kid looks like **Deku** and that series is also about inheriting a mantle. Given **Toho’s Chief Godzilla Officer** **Keiji Ota** called the upcoming anime a chance to “more deeply portray both the fear and hope of the modern era,” these similarities are likely by design.

What we do know about the series right now is it’ll be handled by **Orange** (Trigun Stampede and Stargaze) and **Igloo Studio** (My Daemon). **Orange** also has **Godzilla** experience, having previously done the Singular Point anime back in 2021. We’ll have more on this new addition to the franchise as news develops.
