It seems like Android 13 has been plagued with several issues and inconsistencies ever since its conception. This time, an Android 13 bug has transcended to Facebook.
Facebook is simply known for keeping millions of users in touch with their friends. Developers also introduce new and exciting features every now and then to keep up with the ever-changing social scenarios.
Launching Facebook reels globally was one such feature that ensured an immersive experience for users. But lately, a small section of Google Pixel users are having trouble viewing reels on Facebook.
Facebook reels displaying distorted colors
Pixel 6 series users (1, 2, 3, 4) are facing an issue pertaining to Facebook videos and reels. Facebook reels are displaying some weird green, red and purple cast while scrolling after Android 13 update.
After updating to Android 13 I notice a red tint over some videos as I scroll thru facebook. Is anybody else experiencing this?

Reels appear absolutely normal in the preview section but after clicking on them, a layer of purple, green and sometimes red hue emerges.
Affected users seem to have had this issue since Android 13 beta days and continue to struggle with it in the stable version too.
Unfortunately, the issue hasn’t been acknowledged yet. However, a product expert on Google Pixel community forum claimed that it is a Facebook issue.
Unfortunately this is a Facebook issue (seen a couple threads about this). Hopefully they fix it in an future update.

Hopefully, the issue with Facebook reels and videos displaying distorted colors gets fixed with the app’s next update. We’ll keep tabs on further developments and update the article accordingly.
