First off, sure, it is a moderately apparent factor for anyone used to their cell phone, however the iPad has been moderately restrictive about its residence display screen and which widgets you may placed on it. Since iPadOS 17 arrived, you may maintain down on the lock display screen to customise the background of the lock display screen and the house display screen. After all, you may change the wallpaper, however you may as well add a collection of widgets to the lock display screen, change the font and coloration of the date and time, and even set whether or not you favor the preset darkish or gentle mode with the 2 buttons on the underside proper.
The preset wallpapers are all fairly good, although the Astronomy variations are my private favourite. You possibly can swap between the Earth, the Moon, or any of the opposite planets in our photo voltaic system. If it reminds you of iOS, that’s kinda the purpose.
It additionally enables you to customise widgets in your Dwelling Display screen. These widgets are interactable, which means should you click on on a few of them, you may mark reminders or activate lights with out having to open particular person apps. You’ll find all of the out there widgets by holding down on the house display screen after which urgent the plus button on the highest proper of the display screen as soon as it comes up. Sure, I do know, it’s all actually primary, however to get essentially the most out of your new iPad, it’s essential to begin with the easy issues.
