Duane Davis: The Man Accused of Killing Tupac Shakur What Are His Claims of Innocence? ‘I Am Not Guilty, Man’!!!

Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the man convicted in the murder of Tupac Shakur, continues to assert his innocence as he approaches sentencing. He insists he did not commit the crime and claims he was not present at the location of the shooting.
In a recent interview with the Hollywood Reporter, Davis shared his perspective following his conviction for the 1996 drive-by shooting that claimed the life of the legendary rapper in Las Vegas. While prosecutors argued that Davis did not pull the trigger, they contended that he provided the weapon to the shooter, who then fired multiple rounds at Tupac.
Davis expressed to the Hollywood Reporter, “I’m innocent, man. They have locked up an innocent person.” He remains hopeful about his release, revealing that he has already submitted an appeal to the state court.
Davis expressed confidence in his appeal, arguing that the state authorities breached a non-prosecution agreement he had established with federal investigators regarding the events surrounding Tupac’s murder.
He added, “The DOJ provided me with a deal. It came from the top, and they assured me it would not be used against me in court.”
In a 2008 federal interview, Davis admitted to orchestrating the murder of Tupac by acquiring the weapon and actively searching for Tupac and Marion “Suge” Knight, following an altercation where Tupac and Suge had assaulted Davis’ cousin earlier that evening.
During the trial, Davis’ defense attorney argued that Davis was merely boasting and attempting to profit from his book by making false claims.
Davis also maintained that he was not present at the crime scene that fateful night. He recounted that after attending the Mike Tyson boxing match at the MGM Grand, he went to a bar near UCLA in Los Angeles. The following morning, he claimed to have returned home for breakfast with his children.
Davis is set to face sentencing on October 13.
