Derek Fisher and Gloria Govan have officially separated, but they are not yet discussing divorce proceedings, according to TMZ Sports.
A representative for the estranged couple has confirmed to TMZ that the former NBA player and the reality star from “Basketball Wives” have been living apart and leading independent lives. Sources indicate that Derek and Gloria are committed to co-parenting and maintaining communication as they navigate their relationship challenges.
Insiders report that the couple is not currently pursuing divorce, at least for the time being.
Derek and Gloria exchanged vows in July 2021 during a beautiful ceremony at Cielo Farms in Malibu, having postponed their original 2020 wedding due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The couple began their relationship in 2015. After several years of dating, Derek proposed to Gloria in a touching moment in April 2018 that included their children.
This marks the second marriage for both Derek and Gloria. Gloria was formerly married to NBA player Matt Barnes, with whom she shares twin sons. Derek was previously wed to Candace Fisher, and they have four children together.
