Remy Ma recently made headlines as she attended the court proceedings for her son, JaySon Scott. However, the situation escalated quickly outside the courthouse, leading to a heated verbal exchange with a woman named Jazmin Dior. Jazmin is the daughter of Darius Guillebeaux, the individual whom JaySon is accused of fatally shooting back in 2021. After the dramatic confrontation outside the court went viral, Dior took the opportunity to speak with The Shade Room about her motivations for confronting the rapper.

Remy Ma’s Defiant Response to Jazmin Dior’s Challenge
On the evening of Monday, June 30, a video surfaced online capturing Remy Ma outside the courthouse. In this clip, the rapper and Jazmin, who was recording the encounter, engaged in a back-and-forth exchange. During the confrontation, Dior urged Remy Ma to “come down” so she could “beat [her] up too.” In a bold display of confidence, Ma did not back away but instead encouraged the confrontation, provocatively saying, “Beat me up” as she made her way down the courthouse steps. When Remy reached the bottom, Jazmin altered her approach, suggesting they move “around the corner,” while Remy continued to challenge her with, “Beat me up.”
At another point in the footage, the two women exchanged barbs about their appearances, with comments about being “ugly,” the use of makeup, and Dior allegedly wearing a “fake watch.” Despite the fiery exchanges captured on video, it is important to note that there was no indication that either woman made physical contact with the other. Jazmin Dior Clarifies Her Stance on the Confrontation with Remy Ma
In the aftermath of the altercation, Jazmin Dior shared her perspective in an exclusive interview with The Shade Room Social Producer China Lovelace. She indicated that Remy approached her with “hostility” and an aggressive “attitude.” Jazmin went further to allege that the rapper’s mother attempted to “escalate things physically—as if I was the one who had done something wrong.”
“Let me be clear: her son is being charged with murdering my father [Guillebeaux] in a cold-blooded, premeditated act. I came to court for justice and healing, not confrontation or disrespect. Her behavior only added more trauma to an already unbearable experience,” Dior articulated.
Jazmin expressed her disappointment, stating that Remy Ma’s actions were disheartening and disturbing. Instead of showing remorse for her son’s involvement in the tragic death of Darius Guillebeaux, Remy chose to react aggressively, according to Jazmin.
“I am grieving a loss that cannot be replaced, and I will not allow anyone to shift blame or act like my pain is anything less than valid,” she asserted.
Despite Jazmin’s claims of hostility from Remy, the exact circumstances that led to the initial confrontation remain unclear. The tension surrounding this incident reflects the emotional weight of the situation for both parties involved.
Remy Ma’s Initial Reaction to Her Son’s Arrest and Ongoing Legal Challenges
In the meantime, Remy Ma has not publicly commented on the recent incident or provided any updates regarding her son’s legal situation. JaySon Scott is currently facing serious charges, including first-degree murder, second-degree murder, two counts of criminal possession of a weapon, and first-degree reckless endangerment. He was arrested in June 2024 in connection with the death of Darius Guillebeaux, following a reported dispute that took place on June 7, 2021. Tragically, the 47-year-old succumbed to gunshot injuries to his chest and head at a nearby hospital in Queens, New York.
As reported by Page Six, a second individual named Richard Swygert has also been arrested and charged in connection with this case. Reports suggest that both Richard and JaySon were allegedly hired to carry out the fatal shooting of Darius Guillebeaux.
Shortly after JaySon’s arrest, Remy Ma addressed the media, reaffirming her belief in her son’s innocence and expressing her hope that the NYPD would conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the case. She acknowledged the emotional toll that this situation has taken on their family and requested privacy during this challenging time. In a statement released through her son’s lawyer, Dawn Florio, Remy noted:
“As his mother, I want to address this situation personally but have been strongly advised by his legal counsel not to say anything — as most people in similar situations are informed by their attorneys due to it being an active case,” Ma explained.
