NYC Councilman Erik Bottcher is taking a much more direct stance than Mayor Eric Adams relating to Diddy‘s key to the town — he needs to yank the respect, and stat.
Erik jumped on “TMZ Dwell” Wednesday, and mentioned taking away the respect is a “no-brainer” within the wake of the Cassie beatdown video. EB says Diddy has no proper to be within the firm of Nelson Mandela … the Nobel Peace Prize recipient who obtained a key again in 1990.
The Councilman says, “It could be unhealthy sufficient if it was simply the video, however [Diddy] put out an announcement earlier than accusing these girls of mendacity, accusing them of on the lookout for a payday. So, it is despicable and penalties have to comply with.”

ICYMI … Mayor Adams hedged it, saying he was “deeply disturbed” by the Diddy-Cassie video and his office was looking at next steps, but never squarely took a stance.
Mayor Adams previously praised the rap mogul as “a New York City kid who made good” before bestowing the honor on him back in September.

Months later, Diddy was sued by Cassie, who alleged her A-list ex had abused and sexually assaulted her throughout their relationship. The rapper denied the allegations, with the exes settling out of court docket a day after she filed her lawsuit.
