Popular YouTuber Chris Sails has been accused of providing false information to police regarding a concerning incident involving his children falling into a nearby body of water. Authorities were quick to respond and determined that the children were unharmed, leading to Chris’s subsequent arrest, according to reports from TMZ.
As detailed in court documents accessed by TMZ, the Waller County Sheriff’s Office received a report on August 16 regarding a suspicious individual who was seen running and jumping on the roofs of parked cars.
The police arrived at the location and found Chris sitting on the road beside a light pole, seemingly in prayer. Witnesses reported that he began rolling around in the street shortly thereafter, raising further concern.
During the investigation, Chris allegedly misled officers by claiming that his children had fallen into a body of water situated directly behind his residence, prompting a swift response from law enforcement.
In response to the claim, the police initiated a search and rescue operation involving fire department vehicles, specialized boats, sonar technology, and aerial drones. The search was called off once it was confirmed that the children were safe and with family members.
Chris was taken into custody on August 17, facing a misdemeanor charge for knowingly providing false information to law enforcement. He was released the next day after posting bail.
