Luca Guadagnino’s (Bones and All, Connect with Me By Your Determine) most present film has garnered heaps of crucial praise, with Mashable Entertainment Editor Kristy Puchko declaring in her evaluation it is “a individual of 2024’s greatest.” So usually, the substantially-anticipated film’s remaining trailer highlights all that hoopla — as nicely as its a couple of key performances from Zendaya (Dune: Portion Two), Josh O’Connor (La Chimera), and Mike Faist (West Facet Story).
Zendaya stars as Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy taken out of commission by a devastating individual injury. Now, she coaches her husband Art Donaldson (Faist) as he prepares for the US Open. The only dilemma? He is in the center of a humiliating dropping streak, and needs to get back his self-assurance. A journey to a decreased-level Challengers occasion could be just what he needs — till his ex-most efficient pal (and Tashi’s ex-boyfriend) Patrick Zweig (O’Connor) strategies foot on the court docket. Tensions swirl amongst the trio as the film moves back once more and forth by indicates of time, generating for a no-retain-barred volley of tennis and intimacy.
As Puchko writes in her critique, it will “leave you breathless.”
