Calls Out Celebrities Over Silence on ICE Issues
Published
Billie Eilish is taking a stand. She is publicly calling out fellow celebrities for their silence regarding ICE issues following the tragic shooting of Alex Pretti. Eilish reshared a clip of her brother Finneas to emphasize the importance of speaking out.
In an Instagram post on Sunday, Billie shared a selfie with a perplexed expression. The caption read, “Hey my fellow celebrities, u gonna speak up? Or…” This clearly puts quiet A-listers on notice.
Billie has been vocal on various political issues before. It is no surprise that she posted to rally support and critique the silence surrounding Saturday’s shooting.
Meanwhile, Finneas highlighted the irony occurring in Minneapolis. He pointed out how the nation has long defended school shootings under the Second Amendment. Yet, the same voices justified Alex’s death by claiming he should not have had a gun, despite being legally permitted to carry one that he never even drew.
Clearly, tensions are escalating in Minneapolis and across the nation. The heightened presence of ICE and Border Patrol is now spilling into Hollywood.
