Onijah Robinson, who has recently earned the title of the “Queen of Pakistan,” has become a social media phenomenon after her quest for love in the country went viral. Originally from New York, she traveled to Pakistan last year with the intention of meeting her teenage boyfriend, Nidal Ahmed. Upon her arrival, however, she faced disappointment as she was reportedly ghosted by the now 19-year-old Ahmed and his family. They claimed that he had been misled and had been a victim of a catfishing incident.
Curious minds want to know: What truly transpired when Onijah Robinson touched down in Pakistan? What events unfolded during her follow-up trip to Dubai? And is there any truth to the rumors that she is now married?
The Shade Room’s Justin Carter is currently engaging with the central figure in this unfolding drama on the show ‘TSR Investigates.’
Unraveling the Mystery: What Actually Occurred with Onijah Robinson?
As shared by Carter, the relationship between Ahmed and Robinson started “years ago” when Ahmed unexpectedly came across Robinson’s contact information while making cold calls. According to the now 19-year-old, he and Robinson maintain a consistent connection, speaking on the phone daily, and their romance has flourished over the past two years.
Ahmed further disclosed that it was Robinson who decided to journey to Pakistan for an in-person meeting. However, reports soon emerged claiming that Ahmed and his family ghosted Robinson because she allegedly misrepresented herself as a white woman online.
Despite these allegations, during his conversation with Carter, Ahmed insisted that when he first met Robinson, everything was “all good.” He explained that his parents fell ill shortly after her arrival, which diverted his attention away from spending time with Robinson to focusing on caring for his family.

Ahmed recounted that Robinson spent three months in Pakistan, during which she reportedly enjoyed outings with his sister, cousins, and mother, building connections with his family.
“It hurts a lot because nobody did their research and confirmed anything,” Ahmed expressed, addressing the misleading reports that suggested he and his family had negative feelings towards Robinson. “They [all] still talk on a video call ’til [this] day… they’ve developed a strong friendship.”
