Apply for For the Facebook Community Accelerator program 2022. Following conversations Facebook has had with community leaders over the past few years, the organization has discovered that numerous of them are asking for assistance and direction on how to increase the impact of their communities. Facebook wants to help these communities in a comprehensive way.
Facebook is therefore developing systematic ways to offer training, support, and money in addition to the resources and teaching materials they require, to allow great communities to have an even greater beneficial influence on the globe.
Benefits of the program
Financing
GlobalGiving and Facebook will collaborate to finance participants’ project ideas. Each chosen participant will get up to $40,000 (USD) to support their involvement in the program and community projects during the course of the four-month program.
Training and coaching
A personalized curriculum and one-on-one coaching will help you grow yourself and help your community.
Connection
Access direct assistance while networking with influential businesspeople and other prominent community leaders.
Who can participate?
The following nations are eligible for this program: Argentina, Colombia, Chile, Peru, Mexico, Brazil, United States, Philippines, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia, Bangladesh, United Kingdom, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, South Africa, Kenya, Nigeria, Ghana, Zambia, Tanzania, Egypt, Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan, United Arab Emirate & India.
Communities with a presence on Facebook Groups with leaders who are 18 years of age or older are also eligible. Communities must have a minimum of 5,000 members and be more than a year old.
The 2020 and 2021 Community Accelerator participants, as well as FCLP Program participants, are not qualified to apply. As long as they match the program requirements, participants in previous Facebook programs are welcome to apply.
Criteria for selection
The selection panel will look for areas that can fully participate in the Facebook Community Accelerator program and would gain the most from the special programming it offers. This comprises:
Energetic Group: A Facebook Groups community that has been active for more than a year, with a strong member base that regularly initiates and joins in-depth discussions.
Purpose: The community’s leadership team and its members all share the same goal and vision.
Capacity: A team with the ability to develop initiatives that engage and help its members is said to have capacity.
Leadership: The community’s leaders have a track record of managing teams, projects, and volunteers.
Sustainability: Even if the revenue isn’t regular, the community is eager to start or already has a business plan to meet its expenses.
Dedication: A team that is dedicated to participating completely in every level of the program.
How to apply
On or before Saturday, September 10, 2022, all applications must be submitted for the Facebook Community Accelerator program. Selected communities will be informed in mid-September. In October 2022, the program will get underway. Click here to apply.
